Polyurethane Foam (Spray Foam)
Polyurethane Foam is a spray-applied cellular plastic that forms a continuous monolithic insulation and air barrier on walls, around corners, and on contoured surfaces.
Polyurethane Foam adheres extremely well to most surfaces, forming a seamless permanent insulating system, even around the most difficult shapes. This Product can be used on the outside of buildings, in the stud walls of houses, new or retrofit construction.
Thermal Barriers
Interior foam applications require fire protection. This is often a sprayed cement thermal barrier. Steve’s is equipped to apply sprayed fibre cement barriers. Thermal Barriers may also be painted. A thermal barrier is a covering on the surface of the spray polyurethane insulation which will protect it for at least 15 minutes in the event of a fire. ½-inch gypsum wall board is an approved 15 minute thermal barrier.
