Reduce Energy Costs with Spray Foam Insulation

Spray foam insulation is a superior insulating product and there are several reasons to use foam in your project including quick installation, energy savings, environmental friendliness and durability. We use certified and trained applicators to achieve customer satisfaction and a product that meets the highest quality standards. With the increased costs of energy, spray foam insulation is an excellent way to increase the efficiency of your building and reduce your energy costs. The installation costs associated with spray foam can often be recovered in less than 5 years, simply on energy savings alone! Reduced energy use is not only good for your wallet, but also good for the environment! At Steve’s Urethane, we install spray foam insulation in the Lethbridge and surrounding areas including southern British Columbia, Saskatchewan and all across Alberta.

Spray foam is a versatile product and can be used almost anywhere! The versatility of spray foam allows the product to excel in most situations as it can insulate in many hard to reach areas that may be awkward to insulate with other conventional insulation products.

Steve’s Urethane installs spray foam in Agricultural, Commercial, Industrial and Residential projects. Areas that benefit from spray foam include:

  • Walls

  • Foundations

  • Ceilings

  • Pipes and ducts

  • Air barriers

  • Roofs

  • Freezers and refrigerators

  • Tanks

  • Storages

  • Barns and shops

  • Pipelines

  • Truck bodies

Added Structural Strength

Spray foam insulation is the only insulation material that adds structural integrity throughout the wall system of your project. Testing by the National Association of Home Builders Research Center and the Canadian Construction Materials Center shows that spray applied polyurethane foam insulation installed between wood and steel stud wall panels with a backing of gypsum wall board, vinyl siding or OSB increases rack and shear strength up to 300% compared to standard walls not insulated with spray foam.

Provides a Comfortable Environment

Application of spray foam insulation creates a fully adhered system that does not allow air to flow around, behind or through the insulating system which provides you with increased comfort. Additional benefits of spray foam that provide comfort to your building environment include:

  • High insulation value combined with air barrier system continuity enables heating, venting and HVAC systems to perform to specification
  • Keeps out pollen and dust
  • Creates an energy efficient building
  • Keeps your building draft free
  • Stable insulation that does not deteriorate or settle over time, spray foam is efficient for the entire lifetime of the product

Increased Building Performance

With rising energy costs, increased demand for efficiency and development trends towards higher comfort and air quality, spray foam insulation is an effective method to increase the performance of your building. Spray foam insulation is a gap-free, airtight, monolithic envelope with low vapor permeability and has an ability to adhere to almost all surfaces and hard-to-reach areas. Spray foam insulation in your project will not only recover the installation costs, but save you money in the future.

Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)

Each project has an individual plan along with testing that will be completed on the project to ensure that you receive the highest quality installation and product.

Thickness Testing

Steve’s Urethane is committed to delivering products and services of exceptional quality that meet or exceed the specifications that we promise to our customers. We complete thickness testing on every project.

Daily Work Records
