We were very happy with the product and the service that was provided by Steve's Urethane in the construction of our new home. We spent a lot of time researching insulation and wanted a product that would give us the best R value, air and vapor barrier.
The expense to heat and cool a house has dramatically risen with the increase in energy costs. We wanted a product that would reduce our monthly expenses.
After spending hours on-line reading about how insulation, air and vapor barriers work we were convinced that urethane foam was the best product on the market.
These are the reason we choose to insulate our home with urethane foam:
- Urethane foam is a superior insulation because as it is sprayed on it can fill the entire cavity: filling seams, crevices, and cracks.
- It meets the code requirements for an air and vapor barrier: it is moisture resistant, stops air infiltration, and seals the gaps that cause drafts.
- It has the highest R value per inch of any insulation.
- The foam adheres to all surfaces and makes hard to reach areas easier to insulate.
- It adds structural strength and doesn't shrink or settle.
Urethane foam is more expensive than the traditional forms of insulation but the increase in R value and the air sealing it provides will lower your utility bills and pay you back the cost difference in energy savings.
